Coffee date in Paris

As some of you already know, I was visiting Paris last week for the very first time. I really enjoyed my time there, but one thing I enjoyed even more was all the coffee shops at every single street corner. This was heaven to me. It’s not your usual Montreal coffee shop. It’s the real Parisians coffee shops. On a corner of a street, with a big terrace, rounded tables and cute wooden chairs.

I felt this very antique and vintage vibe in Paris, especially in Montmarte neighbourhood, where all the painters and artists are. This neighbourhood is by far my favourite. For that day, I wanted to wear a very simple but cozy outfit. No crazy outfit needed, because my statement piece was this amazing and authentic vintage bag from Cantiq Living.

I discovered Cantiq from Instagram a few months ago. They are located in Vancouver, Canada. I fell in love with their handmade bags and their vision. As I was browsing through their website, I learned that all of their products are made of natural material and some of them are derived from recycled plastic, bags, bottles or toys. How amazing is that? Also, these pieces are handcrafted by women, many of whom are mothers and grandmothers. They take care of every pieces like their own.

The bag that I have is called the Madison Medium Tote. The material is Ata Grass, and it is also a handmade bag. I can really feel the quality of it. I love the leather handle, it makes it super easy to carry with you. It’s lightweight and fits with every summer outfit. It’s really a must for the summer season! It’s very affordable compared to some similar bags on other websites.

Also, did you know? The word cantiq (pronounced chun-tick) is an Indonesian word, meaning “beautiful.”
